Gretchen sent me one of my favorite records ever, National Lampoon's Gold Turkey on CD. You get Gilda Radner, John Belushi, Harold Ramis, Michael O'Donoghue, Brian Doyle-Murray, Bill Murray, Christopher Guest, George Coe, and a couple dozen other folks in their absolute prime in 1975. Highlights include Billy's interpretation of Dostoyevski's The Idiot: "EVERYBODY GET OUT OF HERE, THERE'S A LOBSTER LOOSE! OH, HOLY COW, HE'S LOOOOOSE!" And the story of how the Hillbillies came from Europe to America ("And hell, I'm a Baptist! I don't want to guard no Pope!") narrated by somebody as Gregory Peck.
