The fact that people read so much into what Hogwarts House they seemingly belong in - which no-one would argue is a wholly fictional construction - really highlights for me the fact that people will believe anything. e.g. You were born in April, when the stars (which are, yes, flaming balls of gas billions of light years away, so far away in fact that the light that reaches us from them is OLD and outdated information about what they're currently doing) were doing such and such a thing from the point of view of the third planet from the star Sol, which means your personality and path in life are pre-ordained. HUH?
