I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's going WTF about all this nonsense. It sucked the first time and it still sucks.

(Okay, actually, I think I saw it on cable once when I was a kid, and I have no particularly fond memories of it, I just felt like somebody needed to stand up for ridiculous and inaccurate nostalgia...)

Well, you know, it was kind of awesome when I was 12. But I also loved Willow, and when I watched it last year I was stunned. "Are you sure this isn't the dubbed-into-Chinese-and-then-dubbed-back-into English version? Because I could swear the dialogue didn't suck this much last time I saw this movie."

A dubbed-into-Chinese-and-then-dubbed-back-into English Willow would probably be awesome.

Or any movie, really.

I...I liked The Goonies. Marcia and I went to see it several times at the movies when it came out.

They won't listen. As one of their number who somehow avoided The Goonies until I was an adult, I've tried to tell them, but they refuse to accept the truth.

I saw it at the cinema as like a nine yr old or something and I was SO SCARED THERE WAS PIRATES AND TREASURE AND BOOBY TRAPS AND THINGS JUMPING OUT EVERYWHERE AND EVEN A BIT OF OOGY ROMANCE WHICH WAS GROSS BUT KIND OF THRILLING ALSO AND IN SUMMARY IT WAS THE BEST THING EVER.

And then. And then.

I tried to watch it again as an adult. The less said about this the better.

What I never understood is the Scooby villains using like some gimmick that could get them billions in patents to scare someone away from three grand in jewels.

IIRC, there was a scene cut from Goonies where Brad goes booby diving in one of the girl's shirts.

No, really.

I disagree. Even the cut to pieces version [1] they show on regular TV is awesome.
