MediaWest sketchbook 3

Sketchbook cover. Those who saw it in person may remember it a bit differently. I'd like to say that this is because of personal artistic choice. In reality it's because some of the glued-on bits came off in my luggage, and were replaced with other glued-on bits.

The hands are from a Shrek action figure package.

This might sound a little odd..

...but that creature in the picture reminds me of an ancient Bob Clampet cartoon. Cecile the Sea Monster. From this old, very bad, cartoon called "Beanie and Cecil"

It's a very cute picture though. Have I mentioned to you that you're really tallented?

You mean Cecil the Seasick Sea Serpent? "Help, Cece, help!" "I'm comin' for yuh, Beanie-Boy!"

Never heard of it.

I never heard of it either. Never watched it either. It, uh, came to me in a dream.

In truth, I actually had a chance to see an episode recently on Cartoon Network. It really sucked. Cecil was cute though. But the cartoon itself sucked.

I haven't seen it in a good 10 years. I rather liked it, in an old-fashioned way. Neat sorta Woody's Roundup look to it.

Though of course the lack of giant robots and magical middle school girls means that of course it will never make my top ten list.

Cool, cool!

You are still one of the best (if not the best) artist I know. ^_^
I wonder... can I commission you to do another picture?

As always, tell me what you'd like and I'll tell you if it's something I feel up to. E-mail me, K?
