I always thought it was like driving through mounds of shit. White fluffy shit, sometimes with ice interspersed, but shit nonetheless.

Note that shit and snow start with same letter and are 4 letter words. I think there is a connection. The are both consonent consonent vowel consonent. Yep. definitely a connection.
