I remember some girl once trying to explain to me that I shouldn't be scared to see Dirty Dancing, because it really wasn't a dirty movie at all, and I couldn't quite figure out how to say that I didn't want to see it because it looked like a total piece of shit.

*nods* I felt that way about the last two Star Treks I saw. It's horrible. You hate the perpetrators, and yet you pity them. They're like brainwashed suicide bombers of bad art.
"Red Red Wine" wasn't bad in and of itself, but there was only a set number of times I could listen to it. Then...deep heart hatred rose up.

But I do think that older horible music is more uniquely horrible than modern horrible music, which sucks but is usually too generic to really hurt.

I don't think I've ever heard Gang of Four. Um...I liked Devo. Can I get kewl kid points for Devo? Or the No Strings Attached EP with all the Gerry Anderson show theme tunes?
Nah, I didn't think so.
Steeleye Span, maybe?

Not at all. We were lucky that our local station played The Cars.
I need some Dead Kennedys. But no, Steely Dan cannot be done without. If we have to give up "Doctor Wu," then fuck the revolution.

Now I want to go put that on a bumper sticker.

But early-70s bad, like Bloodrock, or Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods, or early Cher, is so hilarious that it dulls the pain.

I'm still bummed by the missing Greatest American Hero songs, but at least they took some trouble with the re-dubbing.

Sadly, my eyesight sucks, and I couldn't find anything, much less see it.

Still. Dionne Warwick? Really? Those must have been some dark times.

I hate this song so, so much. Out of the few pop songs we could get on Kuwaiti radio, and this had to be one of them. Grrr!

But yo, "Tusk"? I loved the Mac, but I found that particular song a tad too...what's the word?...stupid.
