I love photos of cosplayers out of context, like in line at the coffee shop or waiting for the ATM. Anime Boston's great for this, since the convention center is connected to a shopping/hotel/office complex and in the middle of the city's main retail district.

I love that, even on the floor, eating chicken fingers out of styrofoam, they both look great.

I've been there (assuming it's the one where worldcon was held in '89 - The Albert Speer Convention Center, across from Christian Science HQ), and I can imagine the scene very well.
