Hells YEAH I've already pre-ordered it.

And then I took half a Valium.

Me too, and a copy for the moms. We are incorrigible.

Same-day service. Go Team Amazon.

Off to pre-order. And maybe schedule a vacation day.

...what's this all about, now?

I'm going to reserve a copy at my local Barnes & Noble, so that I can pick it up at midnight instead of waiting twelve hours for the mail to be delivered.

Now, my way, I get to go to bed and wake up around ten to the sound of a giant package dumped in my mailbox, and the postman's curses. Then I make coffee.

Ohhhh god. I woke up to the Amazon notice in my inbox. And then wailed that I won't be back at work to request time off until tomorrow. WHAT IF SOMEONE ELSE GETS THE DAY BEFORE ME????

I love my whitebread 8-to-5 weekends off gig.

That I get to wake up after noon is pretty awesome, but working weekends sucks the Titanic through a straw. (But my office seems, in this instance blessedly, free of nerds. I have hope.)

*sniffles* I'll be in Asia then. Should I cancel my vacation???

I...no.

Feh. What I like best is that BBC online article about that snotty bint who wrote some fanfic that looks like it's an illbred cross with a Tolkien wet dream. She looks all of 15, she's got a BOOK CONTRACT OMG and says, "Eighty thousand peepul can't be wrong. They totally liked my fanfic betur than OotP and they wrote me emails so there."

There ain't enough splooge in an NFL locker room to cover this one.

Yeah, she was mentioned over on Journalfen (and I can't find the bleeping link) while you were out of town. I liked her dissing Rowling's writing, then saying she admires John Grisham and Thomas Harris.

Speaking of which, I need to get Valium for when the book comes out...
