Jun. 4th, 2010 04:16 pmMe, I dreamt of real cream and tried to ignore the guy across the aisle with the sandals and itchy feet. I don't mean metaphorically itchy.
and sayyyyy...
Jul. 20th, 2007 10:18 amJust how does somebody read and review a 700+ page book in under a day?
Answer: They don't.

No spoilers in the story, but they'll probably turn up in the comments almost immediately.

Jul. 20th, 2007 09:55 amNothing really worth writing about. It's that time of the year when sane people stay inside and read, because there's fuck all on TV, and being outside can knock you loopy in short order. (Seriously -- I went out Wednesday night for groceries. It was 7:00 p.m., and the official bank clock temperature was 99 degrees.) My fascinating tales of doing laundry and nipping out for gallons of milk must, sadly, remain unrecorded.
Tomorrow is, of course, the last Pottersday ever. This means more hermitage, since the fuckers have gotten much to heavy to carry around. I hauled Goblet of Fire with me in a Toy Story lunch kit, attempting to read it while Mom looked for clothes at the mall, and ended up with a hurt shoulder.
I kind of miss her forcing me to drive her to B&N to get copies for Grant and Jordan "In case they run out," even though my own had just come in the mail (and she'd refused to pre-order hers from Amazon like a sensible person), and of course B&N wasn't going to run out. You can't buy that kind of dopey irony.
And of course she made me carry the books, because she was teeny.

O'Hare, Thurs...day?

Saturday. Dogs dogs dogs. Bonita loves Hiro. Sharon loves Moleskine. I left out the cats, because cats are much harder to draw.

We went to the play, an endurance test for both performers and audience, but always coughs up a few chuckles. Viktor Krum pounding his shoe on a table and shouting WE WILL BURY YOU fairly corpsed me.

Sep. 11th, 2006 12:18 pmWatched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban last night. Much less of the suck than the first two. New Director seems to realize he's making a movie, instead of a Classics Illustrated version of the book. Also liked wirey!werewolf more than I thought I would, even though he made one fugly action figure.
Changed med schedule from dinnertime to bedtime, since morning fog was becoming intolerable and something had to change. Am currently very very very very awake. May have developed psionic powers.

Dec. 14th, 2005 01:19 pmI finished my Gretchen's Gramma blankie. It's the kind where you take two lengths of fleece, cut fringe around the edges, and then knot them so the two layers make a sandwich. Except with no middle, so really they make two slices of bread. Look, stop confusing me!
Mine took forever because I made one side with pieced-together fleece remnants from my tub-o-fabric. (The other side is a length of Harry Potter Flying Car fabric.) But once it was done and knotted -- oh, it's the warmest thing ever! Screw you, winter fuel bill!
You, however, don't need to sew anything at all. And if you can get your fleece on sale, snuggly comfort can be yours for around 10 bucks. Here are instructions:

Thanks, Gretchen's Gramma!
