I hung up on a robo-call from Fred Thompson. I almost regret hanging up so fast ("I'm Fred Thompson..." <click>) because now I'm curious. What was he going to say? Why the hell would my phone number be selected for a robo-call by Fred Thompson, for Pete's sake? I live in Massachusetts, and someone thinks Fred "Loserface" Thompson is going to get my attention? (Now if it were Steven Hill, maybe. My love for Dan Briggs is strong and true.)

Here we sit in a scarlet state that's suddenly become a battleground state and other than the AFSCME guy telling us to vote for Obama, not a single call. ARE WE UNLOVED OR SOMETHING?!

I live in a house with 3 Republicans/ultra-conservatives and 1 Democrat/liberal. We've been getting non-stop political calls and flyers. We've turned all the phone ringers off and have to empty the answering machine several times a day.

I think they hang when they get my answering machine...which I use to screen my calls.

My coworker and I have a bet on how quickly Plouffe and Axelrod (the new millennium's Abramoff and Reed?) will come up with something mentioning Obama's grandmother's death. I give it 5 hours. I'm horrible.
