Flidget and I cracked a joke about a Professor Layton game in the Baskerville ep... was so not expecting that to come true.

Well, at one point there's a bit an awful lot like a lobster's shell being cracked open, if that helps.

Somebody really needs to do some sort of short film of "The Lobster Quadrille" with little plastic toys or something. God, that thing is brilliant.

Each episode will be like 3 minutes long and everyone will be TALKING IN CAPSLOCK ABOUT ANGSTING

Everyone else on my flist who watches Sherlock is flailing and wailing and gnashing their teeth.

So, sounds like Ep 3 is best left to watch just before S3 starts. (I hate cliff-hangers. Even when I know the basic outcome. I'm all STOP FUCKING WITH ME TV PEOPLE!)

It's not a cliffhanger, oddly enough. I think they realized that there's really no point. It's just awfultraumy.

I watched it this morning and was seriously wishing I hadn't tossed the expired Seroquel. I'm also glad I'm not a small child because JESUS CHRIST. It's a future generation's version of Daleks trundling through Westminster.

Yeah, that doesn't sound like something I wanna see soon. Yikes.

I'm just going to quietly get caught up on S1 on PBS the next few weeks.

And hold off on S2. Until S3 is airing.

Actually PBS' episodes are all cut.

I would watch every single Sherlock episode with real joy if you and Crantz wrote them. Honest and truly.

They do it with all their Masterpiece stuff. Suzan and I gaped in shock when we saw what had been cut from S5 of Lewis.

Gosh, just so that we can see Alan Cummings (bleah) and Laura Linney (meh).

I have uncut DVDs eventually arriving, so I'm good.

I'm sure they cut stuff from Cranford 2 (which our strapped-for-cash station never showed) and Downton Abbey, too. Thank goodness that stuff is reasonably priced after awhile at Amazon.uk.

If we did, they'd come out even slower than they do now. "You wanna write episode 2?" "Can't. Coloring."
