One of my devices is doing that! It’s weird, because some devices I can get on just fine, but that one, even though I’ve cleared the cache, etc., it kept doing 403 Forbidden errors, and as soon as I wrote to the staff about it, it switched to “Confirm you are human” but like a loop that never resolves.

It's making me want to tantrum, though in fairness that's a me problem.

I can't see the post page, the settings page, the home page... I tried to go to the home page to view the announcements blog for information about the bug and just got trapped in robot hell again.

Yeah, put a dot on the car path or complete the doughnut. I mind these a lot less than TyP3 tHe nuMb34s, except that they don't seem to actually work.

It’s like a video game! …that pops up when you want to go on a website instead and also doesn’t have any noticeable end point so you’re trapped playing it.

I was a bit worried that I had fallen into some sort of phishing popup, except DW are pretty hardcore about security and it wasn't actually asking for information.

There was just an update on twitter about it and they've adjusted the settings so "they are only targeting VPNs and similar anonymizing IPs", according to the tweet. So hopefully it's stopped!

I still don't know what a VPN is and apparently I need one for *ahem*

It's basically a costume for you IP so no one can track your traffic back to you. The best ones are paid, I've been told.

That's what I've heard, but they seem to be monthly and expensive.

..my reading list might be a bit unusual in that a lot of the links in the posts lead to things posted elsewhere. Also, the last time I saw something with a "read more" type message, I just right-clicked on the "link" option at the bottom to open in a new window.

Although does being constantly logged in make a difference?
