Anyway, there's a really easy way to make doll-size books using the spines of perfect-bound magazines for the inside, and collage or whatever for the covers. The woman I saw make them on youtube used big-ass shears that cut right through the magazine, and I thought, I bet that rotary cutter would be really good for this. And it nearly was, but you really need a good steel ruler to keep the line straight, and even more important, when you're holding the magazine down, it is vitally important not to put your hand in the path of the blade.
Dead magazines turn up in the book orphanage at work. I need to find a steel ruler.
The Mini Brands book sets are pretty nice, especially the hardcovers, but they are totally sold out everywhere and you get stuck with those stupid round globes that can't be recycled or made into anything useful.
