Oh my God eew eew eew kill it!

Hiddenbrooke??!?!?!?!!! What the hell kind of name is that? Sounds like those stupid suburbs like "meadowview" and "deer-run village" where it's like "yeah, there was a nice view of a meadow here... then they bulldozed it and built five thousand modern homes in quaint pastel colours".

It's laughable enough that I'd laugh if I weren't crying.

More proof that money and taste rarely intersect, and that Americans would buy cow pies if they were attractively marketed and packaged. Wait, now there's a business idea! Want in on the ground level?

So help me, I hope someone shoots me if I ever buy a house in a subdivision. And I do wish I could find that poem I learned in 7th grade about houses "made of ticky-tacky all in a row".

"LITTLE BOXES"

Little boxes on the hill side, little boxes made of ticky tacky.
Little boxes, little boxes, little boxes all the same.
There's a green one and a pink one and a blue one and a yellow
one,
And they're all made out of ticky tacky, and they all look just
the same.

And the people in the houses all went to the university
Where they were put in boxes, little boxes, all the same.
And there's doctors and there's lawyers, and there's business
executives
And they're all made out of ticky tacky and they all look just
the same.

And they all play on the golf course and drink their martini dry
And they all have pretty children and the children go to school
And the children go to summer camp and then to the university
Where they all get put in boxes and they all come out the same.

And the boys to into business and marry and raise a family
In boxes, little boxes, little boxes all the same.
There's a green one and a pink one and a blue one and a yellow
one
And they're all made out of ticky tacky and they all look just
the same.

You're much welcome. As a designer, I take that song as a mantra. Hate those cookie-cutter townhomes, hate 'em...

Wait, now there's a business idea! Want in on the ground level?

It's been done. Repeatedly. Sometimes as jewelry.

Somebody told me that KISS's "I Wanna Rock and Roll All Night" was the antidote for any other song you've got stuck in your head. Strong enough to drive out the other song and yet dissipates quickly. Supposedly Joan Jett's "I Love Rock'n'Roll" works too, but then I'm stuck with the yummy image of Joan Jett in my head. Wait...is that a problem?
