I found a roll of Regal Crown Tangerine Sours. Judging from the price sticker, I think it's from an O'Hare newsstand.

I haven't been through O'Hare since...1999?

The candy is good, if a bit sticky.

Maybe it's from Minneapolis or St. Louis.

Getting ready to leave last night, and Marny pins me: "We're trying to choose between The Rookie and Windtalkers. Which should we see?"

I'm not sure why she's asking me, since our tastes are, to say the least, divergent. But she's had surgery recently, so maybe it's the follow-up drugs. "Um...I think I'd slit my wrists rather than see either one."

Long pause. "But which one should we see?"

"Do you have any books?"

Anyway...Today Mom and I went to see Signs. Forced to sit in the third row, which led to twin bitch headaches from Hell and a realization of just how bad the local projection systems can be. ( Cut here for mild spoilers )
