Buggered off from work at Noon, since I still have use-or-lose vacation time. Didn't burn it all, but came damn close.

Hit the rubber stamp store, where I actually bought two rubber stamps (normally I just order out of their catalogues, because their in-store stock tends toward big-eyed dancing mice, hearts, and kittens). Then went to the comically-named Scrapbook Nook, which is in an inaccessible location and keeps banker's hours. Walked in to find most of the fixtures empty, and everything 50-90% off because it turns out they are closing operations today. Oh dear. Got a ton of Mrs Grossman's Stickers that I normally can't afford (if you don't know them, they're a sticker line of general spiffiness but their largest and most elaborate designs are pricey). Was glad of the bargainage, but it sucks when a small business has to close.

Then took Mom on errands, went to Hobby Lobby while she shopped for meat (each to her strength, I say!). They had designer paper half-off. Well okay. Dining-room table is now a wonderland of vellum, mulberry paper, toile, etc.

The cable company has shuffled all the channel numbers and added new basic channels. THE HUMANITY!!!

I cannot read........an edition of
Beowulf which........has text that
See-saws all........across the page.
I know it's meant........to reproduce
Some kind of........cadence or meter
From the original........(or I hope that's
So, and not that........the typesetter is
Drunk off his ass)........But even so, it
Makes me seasick,........and I really
Hate that........in a book.
