(no subject)

Several of the more commonly used vowels on my keyboard expired yesterday afternoon. I'm not sure why. After various attempts at swapping for an unused one, I gave up and rang the geeks.

For reasons that I could sort of follow but won't go into here, I now have an entirely new computer. They gave me an optical mouse, and replaced my lovely ergonimic keyboard with Folger's Crystals a regular one. I feel like somebody snuck in and moved the whole planet an inch to the left.

I will say, however, that completely replacing the CPU is an effective means of combatting ads234 spyware.
