Today I tried Botan Rice Candy and Tamora Pierce.

Botan Rice Candy comes in a really cool box and you get a temporary tattoo.

Otherwise, one is very much like the other.

I think I dated Tamora Pierce in high school.

I am at a complete loss for a sarcastic remark. I should get coffee.

What Tamora Pierce did you try? I really liked the Alanna books when I was in junior high, but I haven't read the others.

I read her books. I think I was a freshman in highschool. Can't remember much except the covers, so I guess not terribly memorable. Oh wait, one had a girl that talked to wolves! I may have it mixed up with Robin Hobb's Farseer Books.

One of the Kel books, in which she spends much time going on about how cool Alanna is. This of course makes the reader wonder why Ms Pierce is not in fact writing about the cool character instead.

i am dense

tamora pierce is flaky, chewy, and oddly flavourless at the same time?

she's a special one, that tamora pierce. i think i read the same alanna book about four times and was never let down, ever! uh, of course, i could never remember what the hell happened in the book i had just read but she's a solid rock, that tamora pierce. in that flaky and flavourless way and... i will stop now.

*applies temporary tattoo to forehead*
