Mom: I don't think I could take this every week. Doesn't it give you nightmares?
Ann: Yes. Lots.
Mom: Why do you watch it?
Ann: I watch it because it gives me nightmares.

Airplane crashes are pretty vivid, aren't they?

I introduced Lost to a visitor from Australia when she was last here, considering she had 15 hours+ in flights ahead of her some weeks after that, I'm lucky I eventually got forgiven!

See, when I fly I figure there is no logical reason for the plane to stay in the air. I also figure that if the plane crashes, we're all going to die anyway or crash land on an island with some id-monster stomping around in the jungle.

I sleep well at night.

I had a dream the other night that I was on the "Lost" plane as it was crashing. Oddly enough, it wasn't all that scary, more like a roller coast ride, which is funny since I don't ride roller coaster rides. Well, except for the part where my hands were burning from all the shrapnel hitting them.

And rightly so. For it is foul.

I wouldn't mind flying so much if I could black out after 10 seconds of turbulence, like Jack. Or be pummeled unconscious against the ceiling. Either works.

(Flying itself does not bother me. Bad ventilation, small spaces, noise, and being shaken like a pea in a can do. I hate the bus just as much.)

Not so much the death that bugs me, but the 40 minutes leading up to the death.

Ah, you mean the real nightmare is being wedged like a sardine in a flying coffin? Understood, then.

It doesn't have to be a flying coffin. Just a jumpy coffin.

Oh, no, not again.

Or a coffin that goes "boom". Or a bouncy-bouncy coffin. Or a coffin that simple falls from the sky like a pot of petunias.

It's because I misspelled "too", isn't it? I'd hate me to(o).

Word. TV nightmares rule. I had one the other night where we had to find Nicky and get him out of a dryer before he shrank in the heat.
