Jun. 29th, 2005 03:07 pmSomehow, I have developed a near-superhuman ability to find tiny, stupid things. I keep finding change in the streets. (There was a penny buried in the warm asphalt of an "M" Street crosswalk that annoyed the fuck out of me for like a month, until it finally went under.) And other stuff. Yesterday morning, on the way to work, I came across a huge spray of baby's breath on the sidewalk (I gave it to Mary, who knows what to do with those things). Last night I had to drop the car off at the service station, and on the walk home I found a dime, a green rubber lizard, a silver Mardi Gras necklace, and a Sharpie. I hung the necklace on a tree so it would be kind of Christmas-y, and in case its owner happened by. The Sharpie had dried out. The dime went in Charlotte's Hello Kitty bank. The lizard is watching television with Mom.
I have no particular reason for telling you this, other than the lizard is kind of cool.
