Also kind of depressing: Taking a photo because "that'd make a great icon!!!"

Hey, nifty! What/where was that? (I mean, apart from the obvious, which would be "Colorado.")

Parking garage, Denver. The whole thing says...er...I forget. PARKING TO LARIMER SQUARE, or something that makes better grammatical sense.

Not at all depressing when it makes a great icon then.

I think in icons at this point. Last week, watching The Office premiere, there were about 30 icons I wanted to make. Lame.

Kind of amazing that they've got that in *neon*.

It *does* make a great icon. :-) And, really, what's in Denver that's picture-worthy? A few mountains, maybe. eh.

It's actually cut metal, but I ran it through the SUPERCOLOR filter thing in the camera, and combined with the early morning light, it came out way bright.

And, really, what's in Denver that's picture-worthy?

You mean aside from the Cow Parade, architecture that's 800 kinds of batshit cool, all manner of signage, various members of the population and their dogs, and a metro station straight out of A Bug's Life? Nothing really.

I did that, at the flea market. Then I gleefully forgot the camera, secured deep away at said market.

The photo was of my fantastic comic book and pokemon card display.

I have to actively stop look for neat icon imagery in the comics I read and just read them for the stories.

Not in the slightest. As soon as I got my digital camera, that's one of the first things that keeps popping in my mind when I take touristy photos -- not, "What a cool thing to look at!" but "How can I best frame this to turn it into an icon?".

Sheesh.

Oh, and welcome back!

Ooh, that is a pretty icon. At this point I use the icon filter in my thinking quite a bit, so I see no shame in your thought patterns. *G*

The Cow Parade sounds especially photo-worthy.

I expect you'll be posting a few of these vacation-piccies?
