I did this, too. It said there were 5 people with my name. I, too, find the results highly doubtful.

My result was pretty dubious to me too. It said that there are two people in the US with my name. I'll lay odds that both "names" are actually just 2 records for the same person: me.

I, too, came up with zero people in the U.S. with my name. After a couple of seconds of doubting my own existence, I clicked on the link to their explanation.

Apparently they are taking the list of most common first and last names from the 1990 Census and estimating how many of that particular combination probably exist. They're not actually comparing your name to a list.

Oh, and very uncommon names were left off the list altogether. Which is why there are apparently no "Risha"'s in the entire country, despite my being one and knowing a couple.

You're right. It says my stepsurname doesn't exist, and while it's uncommon, there's still a mess of 'em wandering around out there.
