I saw a chunk of The Ghost and Mr Chicken with Don Knotts last night on AMC. It's been so long since I've seen it that I was surprised to find out that it was made in color.

Don Knotts bears an eerie resemblance to Steve Buscemi. Now I want Don Knotts, Tim Conway, Tony Randall, Phil Silvers, and Bob Crane in Reservoir Dogs. Phil Silvers is, of course, in the Michael Madsen role.

Actually, sometimes comedians make pretty good bad guys or dramatic actors: the ones with humor that springs from their own fear or anger or aggression. I do think you should add Don Rickles to your movie, though.

You know what's scary?

In my 8th-grade West Virginia History class, we had to learn about all the famous people from WV.

Don Knotts was near the top of the list, next to Pearl S. Buck and Chuck Yeager.

Actually, those might have been the only ones. WV isn't famous for famous people.

ETA: It occurs to me that I started this message with "You know what's scary" and then did not explain why it's scary. But as funny as Don Knotts is (was? I think he died a few years ago. Maybe not.) he's not, y'know, the person you want representing your state. WV gets picked on enough as it is!
