"My husband will be the first one to tell you that that’s in the past. Certainly it’s a part of who he is, but he doesn’t dwell on it."

Also, PTSD is for untrained draftee kids.

Sorry, I CANNOT GET OVER THIS

Yeah, it's not like he holds a grudge against all Asians because of that. OH WAIT A MINUTE

She's right. If you're trained, first you banter your torturer into a blinding rage, then you crush his head between your thighs, and some scenes later you escape in a life raft while behind you the enemy stronghold explodes in a fireball.

And anyway, in mavericks, cold sweats in the middle of the night are the sign for a colic, not PTSD.

He doesn't dwell on it?

Clearly, the missus is living in some distant alternate universe.

Between this and the NSA passing around soldiers' phone sex calls back home for lulz, I think the Republicans really shouldn't count on the military/vet vote quite as strongly as they assume.

They probably shouldn't count on any vote as strongly as they assume; there's a new study showing a "reverse Bradley Effect" in 12 primary states, apparently mostly in states that usually poll strongly Republican. With that plus the cellphone effect, the available numbers are probably skewed slightly in the GOP's favor, and if I were a Republican, I'd probably start crying right about now.
