Oh I see. I know nothing about these matters and you probably had to be there but I have no doubt the customers of Amazon Prime are the proverbial well of creativity.
I just watched the first episode by the way. And it's amazing!!! Definitely far more than mildly amused. Will I get the theme tune out of my ears again at some point in the future?
I am super hella pleased with it. Which is great since for 20+ years I've been hoping nobody actually got to make it and we really dodged a bullet when Terry Gilliam was set to do it. Episode 3's script is up for a Nebula, and deservedly so.
You will never get the theme tune out of your head, and the soundtrack album also has a version done in the style of Queen. On the other hand, for ages it was going to be "Everyday" by Buddy Holly*, including versions in the style of the Langley Schools Music Project and "O Fortuna," so it could have been even earwormier.
Apparently if you look closely, all the little people in the opening have Aziraphale and Crowley's faces.
*o/~ Everyday, it's a gettin' closer Goin' faster than a roller coaster o/~
Ohmygod Aziraphael's look when Crowley hands him the suitcase with his books. That is so sweet. *_*
I was all set for saying I never heard of Everyday, even with the line you quoted. But of course I did, just that it made itself at home my brain long before I could, you know, understand English. That would have been quite fitting, but I'm still happier with the one they picked.
I can't make out all the tiny faces, not on my screen, not with these eyes, not with these glasses. It might well be true.

I've just learned that the UK and US script books are different, to the tune of 200 pages of cut/unfilmed scenes. FINE. THAT'S JUST FINE.
