now it's getting weird

Startran brought out the wood-and-brass downtown trolley now that the weather's nice, so I got to ride it to the post office the other night to sign for a package. (It turned out to be pretty great Good Omens stickers from Russia.) Bartown is deserted except for people getting carry-out food.
The regular buses have put laminated DO NOT SIT HERE cards on every other seat, their way of supporting social distancing. Happily this is not too difficult since the schools are closed and those who can are driving to keep away from the bus-riding filth like me. There were four of us on last night, as opposed to the usual 20+. A woman I work with came in and sat on one of the cards. I saw a guy I used to see on my route in the lobby and we waved at each other like we were best buddies. I think we're all slowly going mad.
Lobby barista has to glove up and pour everything for us (we used to draw our own plain coffee), and looks a bit lonesome. I had my first cup since last week and my hands are shaking the way they used to when I'd go back to school in the fall and could only get caffeinated soda out of vending.
Woman in the office stairwell was wearing red plaid pajama bottoms. That is not something we normally do here, but I think those of us not working from home are starting to go feral.
Weirdly, the plague terror has really cut down on my panic attacks. Maybe my system can't run both programs at once.
