COVID check turned up last...Thursday? All the banks and their grocery branches are of course closed, and I don't trust the cash machine in the lobby. I phoned up the bank. "Oh, just come across the street to our drive-through, we've suspended the rules to allow walk-ups."

I've always been through there in a car before, so I didn't know you can actually see the vacuum tube module go up and overhead into the bank. Very steampunk.

Anyway, I went for groceries last night at Target, and they have a box set of all the Eccleston and Tennant Doctor Who episodes for $35, so I helped stimulate the economy with that. Not watching "Love and Monsters" ever again, though. Ick.

I've been stimulating the economy at fabric stores. That one fabric store in Maryland just outside DC is going to be much better positioned than most small businesses after this. (They politely let me know that there will be delays, as they're limiting it to two employees at a time for cutting, packaging, and curbside pickup.)

I'm doing my best to see how long I can stand it before I visit a Michael's or something. I got the two Good Omens con lithos at stupidly low prices off ebay, and they need frames. Buying frames online is a good way to pay $40 a pop for what turns out to be snap-in plastic that breaks when the mail lady leaves it on the porch and the neighbors' cat comes over to gently sniff it.

Have you ever used a circular fabric cutter? Do they work well?

Yeah, online frames are trouble.

I have not! I've seen them, but by the time I started considering one, they'd all been bought up.

They're usually on the back wall at Michaels with their microscopic fabric selection, and sometimes Target has them in the ironing aisle.
