it's an investment, really
May. 19th, 2020 11:04 amCOVID check turned up last...Thursday? All the banks and their grocery branches are of course closed, and I don't trust the cash machine in the lobby. I phoned up the bank. "Oh, just come across the street to our drive-through, we've suspended the rules to allow walk-ups."
I've always been through there in a car before, so I didn't know you can actually see the vacuum tube module go up and overhead into the bank. Very steampunk.
Anyway, I went for groceries last night at Target, and they have a box set of all the Eccleston and Tennant Doctor Who episodes for $35, so I helped stimulate the economy with that. Not watching "Love and Monsters" ever again, though. Ick.

Date: 2020-05-19 04:26 pm (UTC)I've been stimulating the economy at fabric stores. That one fabric store in Maryland just outside DC is going to be much better positioned than most small businesses after this. (They politely let me know that there will be delays, as they're limiting it to two employees at a time for cutting, packaging, and curbside pickup.)
