X-Men coloring guide from THAT page. My first issue was the first Byrne issue when we're dropped into the middle of the battle with the Imperial Guard, and it made me lose my damn mind.

This came from a Fan Fund auction lot at MediaWest in the late 80s. The pic skews a little yellow from the light source.

I was so upset the first time they killed her. I wish I could love cape books like that again.

The Fan Fund auction used to have amazing shit (it may still, I have no idea whether it's still going on). This was a once-in-a-lifetime find of Marvel and other pages for a grand total of about $15. But you could always count on it for donated zines, media-related paperbacks, people's no longer needed research books for fics, CDs and DVDs, re-homed fan art, stills, promo merch, loads of magazine clippings, and something weird but cool like a Lego set or someone's Star Trek Mego dolls. In later years it was held in the same room -- actually a bar, closed for the duration since media fans don't drink that much -- as the fanzine lending library, so folks would spend hours in there reading fic they had no other way to access.
