Did she even start it? She gets points for that alone! I remember buying that book shortly after it came out and then getting infuriated by a professor of mine (a deeply horrible person) who said, in class, "I just read Foucault's Pendulum, and the big secret is X!" At the the time, I thought he was revealing major plot points; now I wonder whether he might've been joking. At any rate, I'll never ever know, because I abandoned any idea of reading the book that very day. Sometimes, I like the idea of having a book more than reading it.

That said, let me get to the point: what charming little witch/wizard people.

I got halfway through. I'm getting rid of the damned thing. It's sort of like Millennium but with anything interesting removed and replaced with dry jokes about the publishing industry.

The dollies are the 1/6 scale Frodo and Gandalf by Toy Biz. They're truly heinous in the box, but if you set them free (and wash Frodo's hair) they're pretty cool.
