Arrr, Jim lad. Left at lunch, took the Unit out to the Medi-Mega-Plex for another whatever the hell they do to her out there. After she threatened to cut Dr Dipshit a new one, he explained that her recent episodes of uncontrollable coughing are in fact side effects of the medication he's got her on for...hell, I don't know. Scurvy. Scabies. I didn't hear screams from my chair in the waiting room, and she had no blood on her clothing when she came out, so she's either very discrete or let the stupid wad live.

Then took her out to the Hellmall to exchange a Christmas gift. While she negotiated the plaid palace that is Talbots I ducked into the B&N next door. After-Christmas clearance. From Hell graphic novel, $4.98. Hate me.

Previously, I'd been calling it the Fancypants mall, but Hellmall is much more trenchant, so I think I'll go with that from now on. So, threatening the doctor and shopping at Talbot's all in a day--you've got yourself quite a Unit there, my friend. My mother would want to go to some stupid craftsy type store where we could look at little cat dolls dressed up like Santa Claus. Whose hell is more hellish?

She won't go in any of the craft stores unless she's on a mission. They make her sneeze.

Heh heh.

If memory serves, I squealed when I saw it.

I hope you did--I squealed just reading it! Maybe it was just the memory of the sticker price I paid.

Still, worth it, regardless.
