I bet wordsworth.com will still be cheaper, and significantly less evil. There's no excuse for buying from Barnes and Noble--not online, not in person.
Try Powell's City of Books, and if you are ever in Portland, Oregon, run, don't walk, to the corner of 10th and Burnside. It's gentrified a bit, but I can still see the bones of the old Powell's I grew up in peeking out from under the facelift. God, I miss that place. I could spend days....
I'm shocked. Really, I've never had any problem with them, and I buy my books there almost exclusively. Ouch.
My favorite online ordering screw-up was something that apparently happened on the shipping line of a .com that sold cd, videotapes, and DVD's. It seems the shipping labels all got offset by one, and that's how I got the DVD that should have been sent to some fellow in Cranberry Township, PA. "Hot Young Lesbians! 6 hours of Wild Girl-on-Girl Action!!!" I'm not sure who got my Jeff Buckley CD, but it was worth the laugh.
And yet
