phosfateWent out with the Unit ("Pilot's Wife - Crminal Intent?" "NO!") Wednesday night for haircuts. Poor Lori (haircut wench). Six months' stress and unseasonable weather has turned my normally merely challenging hair into one of those cheap Central American wall hangings, possession of which means an automatic strip-search when you try to take the thing through customs.
Lori gave me A Look. "Do your best," I told her, "It's not your fault."
She managed to give me a respectable bob, apart from That One Bit That's Just Gonna Have To Grow Out, and even neatened up the bangs. (I'm not sure, but I think the person who told me that the best way to cut them was to use pinking shears may have been seriously misinformed.)
Silmarillion continues apace. Bit with Luthien and Huan The Really Big Dog fighting Sauron was the stuff which giggles are made of.
I don't know why they forbid us booze in the office. The one place one really needs it.
