Our backyard neighbors have installed a large, vicious-looking modern chandelier in their dining room. From our house it looks as though they're preparing to laser James Bond's crotch.

Smallville's opposite Nova, so I've never seen it (though it's doubtful I'd watch it anyway). We don't have a UPN station, so this season's Buffy is a closed book to me. Dammit.

I'm all about brain candy these days. I just realized I missed "24" last night. Boo. God, I used to be such an intellectual, read great novels, watched PBS, went to art films. Now I read cheap genre fiction, watch cheap genre TV, and rent movies where the hero defeats a houseful of zombies with a lawn-mower in a fountain-of-goo-and-gore finale.

I broke my brain.

I still recommend the zombie movie though. "Dead Alive." Go get it.

Hey, I dig the brain candy - I watch Andromeda, for Christ's sake, and still keenly feel the loss of Cleopatra 2525. But I hate Superman on the screen in any capacity. I hate Luthor even more. It'd be like watching a glammy soap about Hitler's teen years.

I luvved Cleopatra 2525. The whup-ass blonde is now on MutantX, but is not so whup-ass. I saw Hel on about 5 minutes of Alias I watched once. Gotta pick that show up, since it turns out that it is actually a good show--who knew? I definately need more whup-ass chick shows, and Sidney Bristow fits the bill.

It'd be like watching a glammy soap about Hitler's teen years.

But it's not just a glammy soap opera about Hitler's teen years, it's a glammy soap opera about teen-aged Hitler's smoldering passionate friendship with young Frankie Roosevelt.

Oh, God, we get Mutant X after Saturday night Buffy, and it sucks in every conceivable way, from the theme music to the lighting to probably the on-set catering. Except the villain looks like Andy Warhol, which is damn cool. Doesn't make the show any more watchable, alas.

The official Cleopatra site (if it's still up) has some really neat wallpapers.

I think I would pay actual money to see a glammy soap opera about teen-aged Hitler's smoldering passionate friendship with young Frankie Roosevelt.

The only, and I stress ONLY, thing could stand about the show the one time I watched it was the evil Andy Warhol. The rest of the show just sucked donkey dicks. But ask me how I really feel.
