Luthien Tinuviel, from the bit in The Silmarillion where she's disguised as...y'know...a bat...yeah... Same Luthien (with her boyfriend Beren, and I want to make it clear that he's called Beren One-Hand because he loses a hand, and not for any other reason) who's referenced throughout The Lord of the Rings.
