Awwwwwwww...it's a little [livejournal.com profile] chomsky_sauron dolly.

Don't fall asleep in the same room with it.

Did they make the Mom as a blonde, or is she one of the carded Bicentennial dolls that used the same molds? I can only remember Mom as a Brunette, or African-American.

Heh, heh, heh. Naw, those wacky bicentennial dolls had different roots, hair, and eye colors (though one of them was a blonde, or even a couple of them).

TEST MY KNOWLEDGE OF FASHION DOLLS MADE BEFORE I WAS BORN!* I dare you!

* = dolls from Barbie-era (1959) and onward.

I would, but I'd only hurt myself...

Do I want a Spectra doll? Are they cool?

Spectra is pretty good, but also kinda goofy. Her doggie-bot belongs in Metropolis. Same molds also used for Barbie's hip late-80s cousin Jazzie (who is nowhere near as good a cousin as Francie).

Jazzie scares me. She's got that sinister Strawberry Shortcake vibe, and her packaging is hideous.

I've beeen pondering Spectra 'cause she's got colored hair, and has that robogirl thing goin' on. Plus...80s. (The only 80s doll I have is Jem's blue-haired friend Wossname, who is currently in a band with her mold-mates Poison Ivy and Beautiful Braids Padmé Naberry. I love her beyond all reason.)

I haven't a clue. But I'd bet money that yours don't have big mold lines down the center.

Ow. I hope not.
That is the coolest doll there ever was.

Thank you, sweetie! I'm glad you like her.

I need to find some sort of small, blood-encrusted, flattened squirrel for her, as well as a vodka bottle. Maybe small versions of Taco, Beaver, and Waste of Space...

Considering that pre-Valar Elladan (you remember, back when he was interesting? ;) was involved in her creation, I wouldn't be so certain.
