"Tom Cruise is becoming the Scary Flaming Eye from "The Lord of the Rings," and I fear that nobody can stop him."

Ryan O'Neill looks like he's spent the last couple of decades packing rich, chocolatey nougat into his neck.

That's the most hysterical thing I've read in a looooong time.
I've regained control of my bladder, though.

I will not pee.

It's been a rough couple of days. If you need to, go right ahead.

I don't think I need to pee, but I'm going to read that article again and laugh myself senseless.

I am deeply depressed that my boyfriend lost his office oscar pool. The prize was a REAL oscar made by the actual company that makes them. How freakin cool is that?? Grrrrr.

"When they tried to pry [Halle Berry] off the stage, she made that screeching Bilbo Baggins monster addiction-face when he Wants the Ring. It was a heavy, strange, grand-mal meltdown. America squirmed."

Woo! Thank you, Ann -- I'm SCREAMING with laughter here. I am SO glad I missed it! I'd rather relive it succinctly like this. *G*

And the point the author was trying to make was...? ::ducks 'n' runs::

(what, you mean if they gave an honorary Oscar to Poitier and then managed to snub Berry, Smith, and Washington they'd be exposed as the racists they are? perish the thought!)

i'll bet everyone in the Academy is breathing a sigh of relief-- they figure they don't have to give another award to a black actor till 2057.

That's all right. It'll take them that long to develop the script for Cranky Yet Non-Threatening Black Cop IV.
