i HATE this movie!
Nov. 29th, 2001 04:02 pm![]() | If I was a James Bond villain, I would be Hugo Drax. I enjoy rare orchids, hunting people with dogs, and passing judgment on humanity as unworthy of life. I am played by Michael Lonsdale in Moonraker. Who would you be? James Bond Villain Personality Test |

Nov. 29th, 2001 10:28 pmOdd, odd, odd. Alternate between achy-dizzy and bursts of creativity - one minute I'm trying not to fall over or projecting something unpleasant out of a random orifice, the next I lay out an entire pencil page. Maybe I'm catching something. Maybe I'm totally friggin' neurotic. Wait. Those aren't mutually exclusive conditions.
Blazing through Christmas shopping like a sumbitch, thanks to eBay and Amazon. It's scaring me.
For moi, the comics shop had a wad of Super Manga Blast and Smiles in the 75% off box, so I'm cool for the manga. Meanwhile, Marvel is releasing this thing of the 100 Greatest Marvel Comics of All Time, as selected by YOU, the reader. Idly flipping through one of the books, I saw that X-Men Vol 2, #1 made the cut. I can think of 100 other issues of X-Men alone* that are better than that sad, cluttered POS. Nice to know I can give the whole project a miss.
*Other Marvel comics that had multiple issues better than X-Men Vol 2, #1, include (but are by no means limited to) Marvel Team-Up, Crazy, The Defenders, Marvel Premiere, The Clan Destine, Marvel Two-In-One, The Avengers, Omega the Unknown, Doctor Strange, Excalibur, Howard the Duck, New Mutants, Captain Britain, and Claws of the goddamned Cat. But then, a Family Circus paperback is better than X-Men Vol 2, #1.
