Jul. 29th, 2002 09:42 amDeb is back from vacation. She brought me a little zipper purse/mascot shaped like a can of Spam. I [heart] it.
She didn't get to go to the actual Spam Museum, but (as anyone who's ever been through Minneapolis Airport can attest), once you get in the general vicinity, there's Spam swag aplenty.
The best part was, when she gave it to me, she sang, "Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam" etc. She's never seen a Monty Python in her life. ^_^

Close-up of J as he is at the moment. Why yes, he does look like crap - make-up is still way too theatrical (need... smaller... brushes... helpmeSpock!), needs some putty in that chin, eye narrowing, etc. But he was even more horrific yesterday, so I live in hope. At least I got the blood off him.
I do, however, stand by the stoned, wall-eyed pupils, since he wears the wacky Ray-Ban contacts.

Jul. 29th, 2002 09:44 pmToday I learned "ichi" (a line), "ni" (a line and another line), "san" (a line and another line and another line), "no" (spiral), "fu" (cursive capital T, more or less), "ma" (like "a" but squished), "hi" (little person on fire), and the second way to write "a" (the cross from the logo for The Omen, with spiral).

Jul. 29th, 2002 10:08 pmAt lunchtime, I saw a dog that looked just like Snowy.* He was the same shape, had ears that flopped in just the same way, and even the stereo-vision black button eyes. He looked like an incredibly well-made robo-plush. I would not have believed he was an actual dog if not for his pausing to take a giant wizz on a neighbor's lawn.
