Aug. 5th, 2004 10:19 amFirst Pinky arrived yesterday - a nifty little boxed set with a photobook and doll. She's pretty neat, although from certain angles, the little raised cheek color things by her eyes make her look as though she's severely allergic to something. The photobook also has sketches, prototypes, a four-page manga, shots of the manufacturing floor, and all the other things that make for great toy collector porn.
Sadly, she's made of the same soft PVC that Playmates(?) used to use for their Star Trek figures. So take my advice, and never, ever display her on the top of your television set. It won't end well for either of you.
You'll also probably want a stand for her. Fortunately she's got footy holes. Ironically, she fits perfectly on a Playmates Star Trek base.
