Jul. 10th, 2007 06:59 pmWell, it seems to be a lovely little machine, approximately 1/3 the thickness of my old player. The remote buttons are very tiny and all the same color, except for the big red turn-me-on one. I think I need bifocals.
The clock/timer display is a 5cm blue disk right in the center front. There's no real reason for it to look like that, as near as I can tell, but it's got a kind of APPLIANCE OF THE FUTURE! charm, and a HAL 9000 thing that makes me want to not talk in front of it. The eye stays on even when you cut the power, and lights up the entire room when I'm trying to sleep.
Nova is doing an homage to Twin Peaks. Nova. The science show. I think I love you, Nova.
