rabbit jousting
Apr. 22nd, 2008 11:05 amThere's a small span of lawn, about the size of a schoolroom, next to our parking garage. It's hemmed in by concrete and hedges. I'm not really sure how they get a mower in there, but it's always kept trimmed nicely. The squirrels, rabbits, and birds like to hang out there, because it's sunny, out of the wind, and humans can't get in without making noise.
Last night I'm walking to my car, and there are two big fat bunnies in there. They're facing off, cowboy-like, just staring at each other.
Suddenly one of the bunnies charges the other bunny. The other bunny jumps over his head and lands untouched.
They both turn around and face each other again. First bunny charges, other bunny jumps over his head. They repeat this several times.
They pause for a grass-chewing break.
Then they start up again.
I have absolutely no idea what the hell they were doing.
