That's what those young people look at when they sautee those magic mushrooms or something. It's probably for those black light things, it might even have velvet on there.

Velvet could only improve it.

I thought it was velvet. Like you see 'em selling on street corners up where I used to live.

Ew. Flashbacks.

To be fair, I'd rather have it than the two (TWO!) versions of the Bakshi movie poster they have on offer...

Haha, yes. In that light, it does have a certain charm.

I dunno, doll, I just don't know. Maybe if he sold it uncolored, with a set of markers...

Still, it's better than Thomas Kincaide[TM].

GAH my parents love him. I never saw his work before and I came home after hearing all this praise about him, "He's a master of light blah blah yuppy talk blah blah" expecting to see masterpieces.

I've tried to tell them that his work sucks.

"Listen, I know you're yuppies and you live in a country club and you're only doing this because the other yuppies are all doing this, but please don't spend $5,000 on one of his paintings. I'm begging you as your daughter and as an artist. Think of the children."

Do they listen? Of course not. You can't really hold it against them though since they're yuppies. One of the rules of the country club is that you have to do what everyone else is doing or else take away your golf cart privileges. There was an X-Files episode that sort of covered it well, when Mulder and Scully went undercover in a cult-o-sack or however you spell it.

my parents and I don't always see eye to eye^^;;;

Jeez, you'd think with $5,000 they could get good art.

They wouldn't know good art if it jumped up and bit them in the ass.

They used to have a huge Monet print hanging up but they're replacing it with that other guy.

I can't believe we're even related.

and btw crayons are a cruel mistress. Much respect you and your ability to keep your work looking like one big waxy splat like mine always does.
