She may think I'm on crack if I wear gloves. It's 85 degrees back home in South FL right now. I think I will just tell her I have an even bigger one on my back and the shock may be enough to knock her unconcious for a week. If I'm even luckier that whole "I'm old, where did I put my coffee mug" thing will kick in when she wakes up and she'll forget about the tatoo.
Aw but I do love my grandma even if she fears tatoos. She at least knows that Thomas Knicade guy is a hack.
do like I did my dad. I got my ears pierced for the third time and knew he'd have a conniption, so I bought a clip on nose ring. (he's like 80, btw.) I walked in the door and he started turning red and making heart attack noises and I pulled the clip ring off my nose and said "just kidding!" He never noticed the ears. He wouldn't speak to me for a week either, which was a blessing.
