On a related note, Holy Anorexia (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0226042057/). Laughed my ass off, I did.

I got the axe and the chicken again!

This (http://images.salon.com/src/ads/pbs/frontier/pbs_flashme.html?http://www.salon.com/books/review/2002/05/01/stacey/index1.html) should give anyone interested several seconds of chicken before going to the next screen. It looks more like a chicken than a pigeon today. :-)

(I know it's an ad, but it's an entertaining ad...I have no idea what the ad is for, but it's still an entertaining ad...)

I'd like to how Mollie secretly ate and no one figured it out.

On a more modern note: There is a variation of her story out there in a group called the Breatharians. Their leader, an acutely thin woman, claims she lives on water, a berry or two and air. That's right, she claims most of her nourishment comes from breathing. (Hince the name, one supposes.) They've been in the news in Australia because her followers starved herself to death trying to emulate the claims of the group's leader.

Oops. I meant to say that one of her followers starved herself to death trying the breathing diet.
