Pre-con stress. I have no functioning mind. Sleep does not make it better. Drugs don't make it better. I hit my creative stride around 11:00 p.m., which is rather unfortunate since that's also my bedtime.

It's not even that there are huge tasks to accomplish. I just...AGH! HULK WANT TO BE PACKED! HULK WANT TO LEAVE!

Yes it is. I leave on the 23rd.

::pounds head on desk::

Nope, that didn't help.

Gotcha. It's just been ages since I've been there (exactly 8 years and probably could never show my face there again even if I wanted to go).

Why? Were you bad? No sign of M or C there in years.

9 years ago was when M and I connected big time and the Great Love Affair began in earnest (I didn't know that he'd lied to me about his status with C until later). 8 years ago was after we were together but he was still living with her and they were selling zines and it was a very very bizarre situation. I just figure there are still MFU fans who would try to kill me on sight just to avenge C's honour. :-p (See, I do have an ego on occasion. LOL)

??? MFU? Oh, MFU! No, I doubt it very much. They both burned their bridges, ate the ashes, and then crapped 'em into a grave long ago.

He lied to you about C? I'm shocked. SHOCKED! What a little fucker.

Yeah, I bet you're shocked n stunned. ;) I'm sure whatever he told me about his status with C was the same lines he handed to the 12 year old Groupie Girl about me. We're all interchangeable, you know.

He lied to everyone about everything. Nowadays I'm simply amazed at his ability to keep all his fabrications straight.

Tell me about it. I started catching them (because I have this unbelievable ability to remember everything unimportant and nothing that is important) and of course that would lead to arguments, blah blah blah. Water under the bridge...but it's nice to know that Fen I Don't Even Know no longer have a fatwa against me. (Who, me paranoid?)

I don't think either of them ever had enough hand to initiate a fatwa.

Supposedly C did with the hard core Uncle people but that could have just been more b.s. to go with all the other stuff floating around at the time. :-p

??? Who on Earth told you that?

At best she might've had some Prydonian sympathies by default, but having them on your side in any endeavor is rather like George Bush bragging to Saddam Hussein that the Belgian Air Force owes him a favor.

I never worried about the Prydonians *shudder* I knew the world-famous Gary Blogg from my time in Syracuse and he was a dweeb then, even more of a dweeb now. But yes, their power over things is hardly reason to worry. There were a few BNF MFU (M-O-U-S-E) fans who were close to her who seemed to have it in for me but hopefully at this point, they're so old they've forgotten everything. ;)

We should coordinate booze. And DVDs.

I should now go sample said booze, just to make sure it's all right.

I'm still greatly indebted to you for the fact that you're willing to do it at all. I also have to talk to Renn since there are 5 of them but there were only 4 in the band at one time for a long time (people kept leaving and replacing one another). So we have to figure out some logical reason for a group portrait. Yes, I'm that compulsive about these things, sad but true.

It's like one of those massive EW pull-out cast portraits (as done for TNG and X-Files), where everybody appears to be in the same room but they were all shot at different times and put together later.

That might work. LOL Well, they're all members of the band *today* but I suspect we were going to go with a much earlier (1960s) version just so you could have some fun.

*hugs* I did something unusual and took Wednesday off before the con, just so that I can frantically attempt to sew a costume or something at the last minute and have 24 hours instead of only 12. This should be fun. Thursday will be a long drive, as I get to drive Amy and BabyGirl. BabyGirl is actually very good both in crowds and in the car, so I don't expect a whole lot of problems, but she is still, y'know, going to mean stops and junk.

But DANGIT, I'm getting excited about the con!!!! (And still not editing...actually got sidetracked by blown-up-database issues.)

I have to take Wednesday off nowadays, 'cause my psycho-meds make staying up until 3:00 a.m. cutting mats a physical impossibility. And the local plane service has changed so that I have to be at the airport at 6:00 a.m. anyway. Bastards.

Right now I am like a three-year-old bouncing in her car seat: "I wanna go I wanna go I wanna go I wanna go..."

I am much the same, which makes it darned hard to focus on anything. Unless it's for the con.

EW! on the plane time. I actually can't leave 'til Amy's done teaching on Thursday, so I won't be there 'til Thursday night sometime and sleeping 'til noon is OK so long as I am already packed.
