weekend recap
Jun. 17th, 2002 09:07 amBummer: Depressed most of the weekend.
Non-bummer: Got a lot of reading done.
Bummer: Unit feeling pokey from new meds, did not want to go to movies.
Non-bummer: Still spared the horror of Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. If this keeps up, we'll give a miss altogether and go straight to MIB2.
Odd: Unit checked paper to see where Lord of the Rings is still playing. This would mean an all-time record third viewing of a theatrical release, blowing past previous champs Jawsand Space Cowboys.
Shoppy: Rubber-stamp store. Nifty tiny stamp of a tassle, and some more sheets of postage paper. Starburst orange pops - fabulous.
Art: Stamped sheet of stamps, more work on MediaWest book.
Read: Phoenix: A Tale of the Future, Peach Girl 4, Doomsday Book, started Three Men in a Boat. Phoenix is groovetastic, sort of what you'd get if Ub Iwerks and Steve Ditko got espresso'd up and made a 200-page comic. Peach Girl continues apace, the main character slowly getting smarter. Doomsday Book is keen as ever.
TV: There's bloody nothing on.
Cook: Cinny bread in the breadmaker. Strange mix, with little bombs of solid cinnamon. Good with butter.
