Dull, dull, dull. Have lost my touch, and cannot even persuade Rags to bean Tara with a big rock.

Denny is in one of his periodic espresso ferret modes. I may have to hit him with a big rock if he doesn't freakin calm down.

Still reading Three Men in a Boat. Have realized it's the Edwardian equivalent of a Seinfeld episode, but without Kramer or all the masturbation jokes. (J=Jerry. Harris=George. George=Elaine.) "So what's the deal with tow lines, anyway? You get one all straightened out, it's perfectly fine, then you turn your back for ten seconds and suddenly it's a perfect replica of the Jersey Turnpike! What's up with that?"

No, you will not convince me to bean Tara with a big rock. First of all, I'm too happy to have connected with her again and besides, this would make a certain famous author very angry and I don't want to have that on my conscience! :)

Please don't mention Philip Roth here. It only enrages me.

You might wanna hide the rock.

Excellent! If you haven't, pick up Connie Willis' To Say Nothing of the Dog, which uses it as a jumping-off point.

I should borrow someone's helmet; I'd feel safer that way.

On the upside, you just confirmed for my confused brain that the ferret should be on espresso, not crack. Thank you.

I've been likened to a ferret on espresso, but I don't own a toga. Sadly.

They're just bedsheets. Except Tanja's, but she's special.
