On Saturday night, we went to see The Mummy Returns at the multi-bulti-mega-plex. This thing's huge - it has its own gift shop, for God's sake. In spite of that, it's actually a pleasant place to see a movie. The ushers actually ush, and helped us find a block of seats for 12. Some of us got tickets, some did the food. Susan had to wait outside for Jennie to park her car, and they made a striking entrance just before the lights went down - Jennie was still dressed in her Jedi robes. There was an audible snapping sound as several hundred heads turned.

Next: stuff blows up.

Wow, that picture is great! I love the kid with the slingshot! I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm hoping to, soon.

Go see it. I went more or less kicking and screaming (I've never seen the first one), and just loved it. It was reminiscent of old 60s steampunk/faux-historicals like Five Weeks In A Balloon and The Great Race, except on speed and without the bad traveling mattes. And the kid was actually cool.

there used to be this multi-plex in this town that was near me....it was HUGE. like as almost as big as the mall near me. it had the best food, though. but it went out of business. guess maybe cuz the food was so expensive. :) but i miss the curly fries.

I'm told that the theater we attended has non-traditionals such as cappucino and melty cheese things, but since we have yet to arrive more than ten minutes in advance of a show, I can only categorize these tales as legend. Our orders usually consist of, "May we have five Number 3s two with butter three without and Susan get a buncha napkins and straws there willya no no candy no time NO CANDY run run!"
