Reading manga. New Peach Girl, in which our heroes actually get a clue, then make the mistake of attempting payback. I find myself liking Toji more and more. Second and third volumes of Mars, where one is again forced to embrace the HetYay, though one also wonders at a high school romance comic that has more beatings, deaths, etc. than a season of Oz.

Deb got some kind of AOL promo disc in the mail (America's Landfills Thank AOL!), this time packed in a rather nifty flat square tin. Any suggestions for what one might make out of it?

It's only about a quarter-inch thick.

I'd paint it and turn it into a tin for small notecards and stamps. Ugh, that sounds so Martha. But still cute.

A good idea, except I don't use small notecards or stamps. Hm...

ANOREXIC crackers. *nods* Your handwriting is so pretty. I am going to cut out my address written by you and stick it on something. It is lovely.
*sings Ashes To Ashes in your honour*

Well, there's also this thing where I don't eat crackers...

My handwriting...is...is... ::busts up laughing::

I have a flaming fuschia envelope propped on my desk to mail to you, which is addressed to, near as I can read it, "Castle Doublas." So you'll have to go out and change all the signs in town so the Royal Mail can find you, okay?

Ooooh, flaming fuschia!!!

I'm not so fond of crackers, myself. *ponders* You put paperclips and stuff in it. Or crumbs to give to the birdies. or if you snap a CD cover, you could put the CD in it.

*steals are local roadsigns, and puts in pretty handpainted ones that say Castle Doublas with little cartoon characters on them*

Your writing is pretty. I say so, and what Charlotte says GOES!!!

Well all right then. Thank you.

Paperclips are already in a C&B tin. Hm...but maybe I could make a fake CD or DVD of something and this could be the cover... Yes, that's an idea. Hm...

As you will see soon enough, everyone has pretty writing, if compared to mine.

There was a comic book fair last weekend, which I not only didn't know about, I was ill, so I couldn't go even if I did. Stupid stupid people. Should tell me these things and give me vaccines against everything in the whole world. COMIC BOOK FAIR! MISSED IT! ME!

Buggery! That would be way fun, just for the chance to get 20 issues of Bunty for a pound.

HA! My Dad calls me Bunty. Dont't ask why, I don't even know. He's probably forgotten my name, I've been Bunty for so long. *giggles*

Okay, that just freaked me out.

Still, at least he doesn't call you Beano.

My dad is slightly wonky, but very nice. I have had many many names. I was Charlie Chan Little Old Man when I was a baby (all wrinkly and old chinese man-ish looking) hence being called Charlotte.

Or Beezer.

Stash box! Or alternatively, if you're law abiding, use it to keep earrings and small bits of jewellry in.

Stash of what?

It's actually too flat for jewelry or earrings. It's thinner than a CD case.

How about using it as a case for a WORTHY CD?

I got one of those AOL tins myself. I'm planning on taking some embossing powder (ok, a lot of embossing powder) and a heat gun to it. Did you know that if you build a thick enough surface of embossing powder you can press your rubber stamps in it? It leaves a nice embossed image and doesn't hurt the rubber stamp one bit. SO that's my plan for the top. The rest I'm going to paint with acrylics and stuff. Who knows what the hell I'll use it for.

That's the kind of thing I'm thinking of. I am not brave enough to emboss. You know - me...fire...bad. But that's the sort of thing I'm thinking of. Maybe two picture frames, or some way to turn it into a book...

I sent for stuff from KLOJ yesterday. Skull beads and a burial permit. Can't wait!

Like I should be around any heating element with my history of mishaps. But now you've got me thinking....emboss both sides of the thing....maybe add in some handmade paper for a book....or just do a collage for the inside and emboss the outside. Yeah, I like that idea.

Ooooo! A burial permit! I need to hit KLOJ again soon and see what goodies I can dig up. Pun intended.

I'm pissed. I meant to get some of those little popcorn bags and forgot.
