1. Somebody wrote I <3 CHEESE on our driveway in blue chalk. Beth, you care to own up?

2. Mom came into the dining room around 11:30 this morning and said, "Well, that's it, I saw my first spook!" Apparently a curly-headed teenage girl appeared in her bedroom, peeked at the TV screen a couple of times, and then vanished. (Even the dead hate Murder, She Wrote.) "At least it wasn't anybody you knew." "At least she didn't hold her damn hand out to me!"

I'm sorry. I should have said, "Beth who lives in this town, you care to own up?"

I have a friend who has one in his house. She listens in when you're telling stories. And checks you out in the middle of the night to see that you're an acceptable person to have in the house. She's pretty cool for a house ghost.

Was that really supposed to be his "best James Dean"? Because it didn't sound anything like James Dean to me.

Jack...well, he's every bit as bright and talented as the song makes him out to be.
